Spatio-temporal variation of reference evapotranspiration from empirical methods in Chihuahua, Mexico

چکیده
<strong>Introduction:</strong> Evapotranspiration is key in the management of arid agricultural areas. In Chihuahua, volume irrigation water based on reference evapotranspiration (ETo) calculated with empirical methods and extrapolated to cropped area, which inaccurate. The alternative calculate ETo variation by spatial interpolation.</br> <strong>Objective:</strong> To analyze spatio-temporal using interpolation Mexico.</br> <strong>Methodology:</strong> Records from 33 meteorological stations 1960-2013 seven estimation were used. results compared Penman-Monteith method, modified FAO (PMMF), ANOVA analysis (P ≤ 0.05), homogeneous surfaces built point values <strong>Results:</strong> Hargreaves method (R2 = 0.91, RMSE 1.16 ME -0.69 mm-day-1) had a smaller bias respect PMMF. ranged 2.5 7.1 mm-day-1 west-east direction, maximum at low elevations minimum high elevations, showed influence Sierra Madre Occidental ETo. This characteristic was most noticeable warm months (June September).</br> <strong>Limitations study:</strong> use estimated data needs field validation.</br> <strong>Originality:</strong> one extrapolate areas scarce data.</br> <strong>Conclusions:</strong> allows estimating large extensions limited information.</br>

evaluation of pan coefficients from ann, anfis, and empirical methods, for estimation of daily reference evapotranspiration
introduction: evaporation and evapotranspiration are two major components of hydrological cycle which are very important for agricultural studies as well as water resources management. so far, various methods have been addressed for the estimation of daily reference crop evapotranspiration (et0). among them, fao penman-montieth 56 (pmf-56) (allen et al., 1998) is widely used as a standard metho...
متن کاملManganese minerals in geodes from Chihuahua, Mexico
Seven manganese minerals have been observed in geodes from Chihuahua, Mexico. Ramsdellite occurs in a number of different habits, but the morphology and precession X-ray patterns suggest that it is pseudomorphous after groutite. Pyrolusite is found only in association with ramsdellite and is believed to be an alteration product of that mineral. Todorokite generally occurs as a late-stage fibrou...
متن کاملClimate change impacts on spatial-temporal variations of reference evapotranspiration in Iran
Global warming due to greenhouse effect is expected to cause major changes in climate of some regions. The change of climate is likely to have a profound effect on hydrological cycle. Evapotranspiration (ET, as the major component of hydrological cycle, will affect crop water requirement and future planning and management of water resources. This study was conducted to investigate climate chang...
متن کاملSpatial and Temporal Variation in Evapotranspiration
Evapotranspiration represents the combined loss of soil water from the earth’s surface to the atmosphere through evaporation of water from the soil or plant surfaces and transpiration via stomates of the plant. In agricultural production systems these two losses of water represent a major component of the water balance of the crop. If we examine evapotranspiration over time throughout a growing...
متن کاملSpatio-temporal variation of the structural organization of demersal communities in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico.
Structural patterns of a sublittoral community were analyzed through a two-year series of samples in the Southwestern Gulf of Mexico. The groups involved in the study comprise fishes, molluscs, echinoderms and crustaceans. The time-space progressions of Second Order diversity values range between N2=5.3 and N2=9.8 at depths of 40 and 20 m respectively, through the first year of samples. In the ...
